A few years back, on a plane, a woman sued Pfizer (a pharmaceutical giant and maker of Zoloft, Paxil and Lexapro) for her inability to have children. The reason being that the woman, after taking Zoloft for approximately two decades, became depressed and developed what is known as “suicidal depression.” Her case was settled in 2021, and Pfizer paid her more than $7 million to obtain a judgment against her former employer.

She has not received a settlement from this company, even though she was able to get a copy of her medical records through the Freedom of Information Act.
